How It Works

Four steps from list to wire transfer.

  1. 01

    Send your list

Spreadsheet, photos, or a walk-through video. Nameplate data is ideal — we'll work with whatever you have.

  2. 02

    Get a real offer

A buyer responds within 24 business hours with a firm cash number — not a "we'll see when we get there" estimate.

  3. 03

    We handle pickup

Our logistics team schedules rigging, crating, and freight. You get a certificate of removal for your records.

  4. 04

    Get paid

Wire or ACH at load-out for verified inventory. Larger lots use deposit + balance — money clears before the truck rolls.

FAQ

Selling surplus electrical equipment, answered.

What kinds of surplus electrical equipment do you buy?

We buy new, unused, and reconditioned transformers (pad-mount, dry-type, substation, oil-filled), low- and medium-voltage circuit breakers, switchgear lineups, motor control centers, bus duct, panelboards, and large lots of electrical components from every major OEM — Square D, Eaton, ABB, GE, Siemens, Cutler-Hammer, Allen-Bradley, and Westinghouse.

How fast can I get a quote on surplus electrical equipment?

Most quotes are returned within 24 business hours. Send a parts list, nameplate photos, and quantities through our quote form and a buyer will reach out the same day for anything over $5,000 in estimated value.

Do you handle pickup, rigging, and freight?

Yes. We arrange and pay for rigging, crating, and freight on qualifying loads anywhere in the continental US, plus Canada and Mexico. Our logistics team has handled substation-scale transformer removals, full electrical room teardowns, and warehouse-wide inventory buyouts.

When do I get paid for my surplus electrical equipment?

Payment is wired or sent via ACH at pickup for verified inventory. For larger lots, a deposit is wired in advance and the balance is paid on load-out, before the truck leaves your dock.

Will you buy a single circuit breaker or transformer?

Yes. We buy single high-value units as well as truckload and warehouse lots. Single molded-case breakers, low-voltage power breakers, and pad-mount transformers are some of our highest-demand items.

Do you buy obsolete or discontinued electrical equipment?

Obsolete is our specialty. Discontinued Westinghouse DS and DSL breakers, ITE/ABB K-Line, GE AKR/Magna-Blast, Square D Masterpact NW, and out-of-production Cutler-Hammer parts are in constant demand on the secondary market — and we typically pay more for them than for current production.

How does pricing work?

We quote a firm cash number based on brand, condition, voltage class, current secondary-market demand, and freight cost from your location. For new surplus, expect 40–70% of OEM list. For tested used, 25–50%. Obsolete or hard-to-find items can exceed list price.

What documentation do you need?

For transformers: nameplate photo, manufacture date, last oil test results if available. For breakers: nameplate photo and trip unit type. For switchgear: front-elevation photo, single-line if available. We can work with less — even just an inventory list — and refine at inspection.
